Installing Printers on a CCPS Computer

Purpose

Whether you are logging into a brand new computer, a recently reimaged device, or using a guest account, you may find that the printer you need is not listed. This typically means the printer has not yet been registered on the computer.

This guide explains how to use Printix to register and install the printers you want to use.


Before You Begin

  • Ensure you are signed in to your CCPS account

  • Confirm you are connected to the network

  • Verify that the Printix client is running in the system tray


How to Install a Printer

Step 1: Open Printix

  1. In the lower right corner of your screen, locate the Printix icon in the system tray.

  2. Right click the Printix icon Tunsten Printix Icon.png.

Step 2: Open Printers

Click Printers from the menu.


Step 3: Select Printers to Install

  1. In the pop-up window, search for or scroll through the list of available printers.

  2. Check the box next to each printer you want to install.

  3. Click Add.

Step 4: Finish Installation

After the printers install, click Finish.

Step 5: Confirmation Prompt

If a confirmation window appears:

  1. Check Do not show again.

  2. Click OK.

Installation Complete

The printer is now installed and ready to use.


Tip

You can return to the Printix menu at any time to add or remove printers as your location or needs change.
