Students are responsible for reporting lost, stolen, or damaged devices to their school as soon as the issue is discovered. In most cases, devices will be repaired or replaced, however, the details of the incident will determine the appropriate next steps and whether the student may be held financially responsible.
All CCPS student laptops are covered by an Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) warranty policy. This warranty will cover the repair and/or replacement of accidentally damaged or stolen laptops. The warranty does not cover damage due to loss, negligence or intentional damage.
If a device is lost or damaged due to student negligence, and is not covered by the device protection plan, an obligation will be placed on the student's account and student's parents/guardians will be responsible for the full cost of repair or replacement. The student's school will reach out with the details and cost of the obligation.
