PreK–2 iPad Distribution & Setup

Supporting Early Learners through the Future Ready 1:4 Ratio

To support early learners and uphold the Future Ready 1:4 device ratio (one iPad for every four students), iPads are issued to each elementary school for use in PreK through Grade 2 classrooms.

📦 iPad Distribution & Labeling

Each iPad is:

  • Pre-assigned by classroom teacher

  • Labeled with the teacher’s name

  • Bundled by classroom with the corresponding charger

  • Pre-checked out for easy deployment and streamlined pickup

These steps ensure a smooth start to the school year and minimize classroom setup time.

🔢 iPad Allocation & Support

  • Each PreK–2 classroom will receive enough iPads to maintain the 1:4 device-to-student ratio.

  • If a teacher:

    • Has not received iPads

    • Needs additional devices due to enrollment changes

    • Notices any discrepancies in device quantity or labeling

They should submit a request via the IT Help Desk as soon as possible.

⚙️ Teacher Setup Instructions

Before classroom use, teachers must complete a brief initial setup process. All iPads are automatically signed in with a district-managed CCPS Apple ID—no additional login is required.

🚫 What if I sign in with my personal CCPS credentials?

No problem—just submit an IT Help Desk ticket, and our team will assist you in resetting the device.
