Important Notes:
- The overwhelming majority of CCPS applications that staff use authenticate against Office 365. This allows staff to use the same password across the board AND it’s why the PowerSchool App Switcher allows you to seamlessly move from application to another
- Employee Access Center for retirees is an example, however, of an application that does not authenticate against Office 365 because they do not have Office 365 accounts.
- Passwords must be changed every 365 days, or you may lose access to the applications you work in. If you are told that your credentials are not correct, this could be the reason. Once you change your password in Office 365 and change your password, you’ll regain access to the applications that authenticate against
- If you receive your Calvertnet email on other devices such as cell phones or tablets, you will need to set the new password on those devices after you change it in Office 365. If you do not, it may lock your account. If your account is locked, you’ll be required to wait 20 minutes before attempting to log in
- Please do not attempt to change your password within Unified Talent. To change your password for all the applications that authenticate against Office365, please follow the directions below
To change your password in Office 365, follow the steps below:
- Go to Office 365 (https://www.office.com) and log in. Once logged in, ensure that you are at the main tile screen. If you are at a different screen (such as mail), click on the Office 365 link at the top left of the screen.
- Click on the gear icon located in the upper right-hand corner of your window.
- Click on the Change Your Password
- On the next screen, enter your current password in the box labeled Old Password. Enter your new password in the Create New Password and Confirm New Password.
Your new password must meet be at least eight characters AND contain characters from three of the following four categories:- Uppercase characters
- Lowercase characters
- Numbers (0 through 9)
- Non-alphanumeric characters: ~!@#$%^&*_-+=`|\(){}[]:;"'<>,.?/
Additionally, the system will remember your last 24 passwords so you may not reuse any of them, and it will not allow you to use your first or last name in your password. - If your new password does not meet the requirements above, you’ll see a message like this after clicking Submit:
- If your new password is accepted, you’ll be routed back to Office365 and should begin using that new password for ALL applications that authenticate against Office365 (e.g., your CCPS device, Schoology, TAC, eSchool, eFinance, etc.).
You may safely close the web page and your password change is complete. - If you are using a CCPS device, please log out of the device and log back in with your new password.
